What is AWE? The Asheville Writing Enthusiasts group is dedicated to helping writers improve their writing while helping other writers do the same. The first meeting was held February 16 with 11 members, including award-wining author, teacher and AWE Director David Pereda. The group is a regional affiliate of the FWA. Besides providing a supportive network, our goals include sponsoring an annual writing contest and hosting speakers from the writing and publishing industries.
