Pull up a chair and join me for a chat on my front porch!
Winter is about to melt into spring here in beautiful North Carolina. And there are a lot of new opportunities coming my way I'd like to share with you.
WIZARDS OF WORDS -- I'll be a presenter, along with New York Times best-selling author David Morrell, at the Wizards of Words Writers Conference on Oct. 10 and 11. I encourage you to attend and learn more about writing while you network with fellow writers.
NEW WRITING GROUPS -- I recently helped found the Asheville Writing Enthusiasts, which will offer writers in the Asheville, N.C. area opportunities to improve their writing through peer critiques and guest speakers. I also assumed leadership of the newly formed Florida Writers Association's Western North Carolina division. Check back soon to find out more details. If you live in the area, contact me about how you can join these groups.
POETRY PUBLISHED -- Two of my poems, "My Dad" and "Bolero," were recently published in English, Spanish, Galician and Catalan in the anthology titled Antoloxia Poetica da Diaspora Galega.
I'm also working on a new story while teaching creative writing at a local college.
Write me and let me know what you're working on this spring.
